2023 Russian River Valley Sauvignon Blanc
Crafted from two separate lots harvested from Blake’s Launch, a superb vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Each lot contributes distinct aromas and flavors. Aromatics begin with delicate honeydew, cantaloupe, and refreshing lime zest leading to a mouthwatering laser beam of Meyer lemon, guava, passionfruit, and lovely minerality. This wine finishes bright and balanced, with a crisp texture and nice mid-palate weight.

Hand-picked clusters were field-sorted into half-ton bins on September 21 & 25 at 22.20 Brix.

After destemming, the fruit went directly to press for a gentle whole cluster press.

Fermented in stainless steel for bright profile, with a small portion barrel fermented in neutral French oak for added complexity.

Frequent bâtonnage or “stirring of the lees” achieved beautiful texture.
Our Vision
Nestled adjacent to the meandering Russian River, the vineyard’s soils benefit from its closeness to the riverbank. Its Yolo soils are deep and well-drained, formed in alluvium from mixed rocks. The vines struggle in these demanding soil conditions and produce grapes with concentration and balance.
